Delete Your Account & Data

You can permanently delete your CHRIS account yourself, directly in the app. This page explains how, what gets deleted, what is retained for legal reasons, and who to contact if you get stuck.

1. How to delete your account

In the CHRIS mobile app open Profile and tap “Delete account” — this opens app.chris.hr/delete-account where you complete the deletion by signing in and confirming.

You can also start directly: open app.chris.hr/delete-account, sign in and confirm. Deletion is immediate: it signs you out everywhere, removes your sign-in identity and personal data, and cannot be undone.

2. If you cannot finish deletion in the app

If you are the only administrator of an organization, the app will ask you to first transfer ownership to another member (Settings → Employees in the web app). If you want the whole organization deleted, write to hello@chris.hr: you can receive an export of all its data first, and the organization and all its data are permanently deleted no later than 30 days after the request.

You can also request deletion by e-mail at hello@chris.hr (from the address you sign in with). We verify the request and complete it within 30 days — usually the same business day.

3. What we delete

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • your sign-in account (e-mail/password and linked Google sign-ins, including identities at our sign-in provider)
  • your profile (name, contact details, avatar, preferences)
  • your request attachments (e.g. medical certificates)
  • personal notes and reasons on your requests
  • organization memberships and personal leave entitlements

4. What is retained (and why)

Employers are legally required to keep working-time and leave records (Croatian Labour Act and related regulations). Those records (dates, type and duration of absences) remain with your employer's organization, anonymized — without your name, contact details or other personal data (shown as “Former employee”). Legal basis: GDPR Art. 17(3)(b).

The organization's accounting records (invoices, subscriptions) are retained for 11 years under the Croatian Accounting Act; they relate to the organization, not to you personally.

5. Timelines

  • immediately: your account and sign-in are disabled and personal data is removed from the production database
  • within 30 days: data leaves our backup set through regular rotation (GDPR Art. 17)

6. Contact and your rights

Data controller: Web rješenja d.o.o., Markuševečka cesta 115, 10040 Zagreb, Croatia, VAT/OIB 97669668809, hello@chris.hr.

If you believe your request was not handled correctly, you may lodge a complaint with the Croatian Data Protection Agency (AZOP) or your local supervisory authority.
